Class of 2008: Gary McWop Dunn

Gary Dunn the 'Black Bart' of Brockton rap was the driving force behind Hall of Fame rap group Trech Emcees for over a decade. As a producer and recording engineer, Dunn donated hundreds of hours of studio time to local aspiring rappers, helping foster a highly competitive underground hip hop scene. In 2001 Dunn 'retired' to Phoenix, Arizona only to resurface a few years later as one of Brockton's most despised rappers ever, Slick McWop. In 2007 Dunn opened the Gary Dunn Rap Clinic, later establishing June 19th as Global Rap Day. Dunn also co-produced 1999's street release compilation CD Brocktons Illest. 

Class of 2008: Trech Emcees

From 1987-2001 Brockton rap group Trech Emcees were known for throwing parties highlighted by their live performances. Original members Steve 'Sandman' Dunn, Gary 'McWop' Dunn and DJ/MC Mike Angelo joined to form 3 Trech MC's in 1987. MC Mike had the trio's biggest hit in 1989 with Rip Dip Daddy. CEO Steve Dunn left the group in 1992 and was replaced behind the turntables by DJ Brian Slay. By 2001, plagued by constant line-up changes and mounting legal issues, Trech Emcees were officially disbanded as rapper Gary Dunn 'retired' to Arizona.

Class of 2008: Freeagents / Fiberoptics

Freeagents / Fiberoptics

Freeagents/Fiberoptics were elected to the Brockton Rap Hall of Fame by receiving the most votes on Brockton Classics MySpace ballot.

Freeagents are rappers Cham-P-Ion and Dollar Bill Green. Both are also members of Fiberoptics along with A Light In The Dark, Briz Gunz. Unit is led by South Brockton rapper/producer Ryan Mallard a/k/a Napalm. Napalm produced 'Napalm 9' in 2001 featuring Fiberoptics. Freeagents released Brockton classic 'The Heist' in 2004.

Class of 2007: The Sire Dutch

The Sire Dutch is recognized as a legend by the Brockton Rap Hall of Fame.

Until his tragic murder on May 17 2005, Jeffery Andrade a/k/a The Sire Dutch was widely considered the premier emcee in the Brockton area. Andrade's career hit the ground running at The Walkover Club in 1997 performing as Dutch Master, Jeff along with brother Naldo, known as rapper 4-Fifth and The Rhyminal won the Brockton Hip Hop Jam & Talent Show as Blue Steel. After  the breakup of Blue Steel, The Sire Dutch and 4-Fifth performed along with rapper Jooks as Prolific.
